【摘要】:Thispracticecoversinformationforthedesign,installation,testing,andoperationofautomatedequipmentfortheextractionofrepresentativesamplesofpetroleumandpetroleumproductsfromaflowingstreamandstoringtheminasamplereceiver.Ifsamplingisfortheprecisedeterminationofvolatility,usePracticeD5842inconjunctionwiththispractice.Forsamplemixing,refertoPracticeD5854.PetroleumproductscoveredinthispracticeareconsideredtobeasinglephaseandexhibitNewtoniancharacteristicsatthepointofsampling.ApplicableFluids-Thispracticeisapplicabletopetroleumandpetroleumproductswithvaporpressuresatsamplingandstoragetemperatureslessthanorequalto101kPa(14.7psi).RefertoD5842whensamplingforReidvaporpressure(RVP)determination.Non-applicableFluids-Petroleumproductswhosevaporpressureatsamplingandsamplestorageconditionsareabove101kPa(14.7psi)andliquifiedgases(thatis,LNG,LPGetc.)arenotcoveredbythispractice.1.3.1Whiletheprocedurescoveredbythispracticewillproducearepresentativesampleoftheflowingliquidintothesamplereceiver,specializedsamplehandlingmaybenecessarytomaintainsampleintegrityofmorevolatilematerialsathightemperaturesorextendedresidencetimeinthereceiver.Suchhandlingrequirementsarenotwithinthescopeofthispractice.ProceduresforsamplingthesefluidsaredescribedinPracticeD1265,TestMethodD1145,andGPA2166.AnnexA2containstheoreticalcalculationsforselectingthesamplerlocation.AnnexA3listsacceptancemethodologiesforsamplingsystemsandcomponents.AnnexA4givesperformancecriteriaforpermanentinstallations,whileAnnexA5hasthecriteriaforportablesamplingunits.AppendixX1isadesigndatasheetforautomaticsamplingsystems;AppendixX2comparesthepercentsedimentandwatertounloadingtimeperiod.ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasthestandard.Thevaluesgiveninparenthesesareforinformationonly.
