【摘要】:Thisspecificationcoversplasticsandproductsmadefromplasticsthataredesignedtobecompostedinmunicipalandindustrialaerobiccompostingfacilities.Thisspecificationisintendedtoestablishtherequirementsforlabelingofmaterialsandproducts,includingpackagingmadefromplastics,as"compostableinmunicipalandindustrialcompostingfacilities."Thepropertiesinthisspecificationarethoserequiredtodetermineifplasticsandproductsmadefromplasticswillcompostsatisfactorily,includingbiodegradingataratecomparabletoknowncompostablematerials.Further,thepropertiesinthespecificationarerequiredtoassurethatthedegradationofthesematerialswillnotdiminishthevalueorutilityofthecompostresultingfromthecompostingprocess.Thefollowingsafetyhazardscaveatpertainstothetestmethodsportionofthisstandard:Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatehealthandsafetypracticesandtodeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.Note1-NoequivalentISOspecificationsexistforthisstandard.
