【摘要】:ThisInternationalStandardspecifiesdisplayrequirementsforholdingsstatementsatthesummarylevelforserialandnon-serialitems,topromoteconsistencyinthecommunicationandexchangeofholdingsinformation.Itisintendedforuseinreportingholdingswhenreportingisindisplayform.Formachine-readablereportingnotindisplayform,thedataelementsspecifiedinthisInternationalStandardshouldbeincluded,althoughtheirorder,etc.,maybedifferentinthemachinerecord.ThisInternationalStandardidentifiesanddefinesthedataelementsforstatementsofholdingsofserialandnon-serialitemsatasummarylevelappropriateforlistingsofholdingsinoneormorelibrariesorinstitutions.Itspecifiesthecontentandsequenceofdataelementswithindataareasandrequirementsforinclusionofdataareasintheholdingsstatement.ThisInternationalStandardrequiresthattheholdingsstatementbelinkedtoanidentificationoftheitemtowhichthestatementpertains;however,themethodofidentifyingtheitemisexcludedfromthisInternationalStandard.ThisInternationalStandardappliestoholdingsstatementsforbibliographicitemsinanyphysicalmedium.ThisInternationalStandarddoesnotspecifythewayinwhichthedataelementsshouldberepresentedinamachine-readabledataformat,northemedium(media)employedforstorage,display,ortransferoftheholdingsstatements.Theguidelinesareindependentofcataloguingrulesystems.
