【摘要】:Thistestmethodisusefulinidentifyingthemajorsolventconstituentsinhazardouswastesamples.Thistestmethodisdesignedtosupportfieldorsiteassessments,recyclingoperations,plantoperations,orpollutioncontrolprograms.1.1Thistestmethodisusedtodeterminequalitativelyandquantitativelythepresenceofthefollowingcompoundsinwastesamplesusinggaschromatography.Thistestmethodisdesignedforuseasascreeningmethodwithatypicalreportinglevelof0.1%.1.1.1Thiscompoundlistisacompilationofhazardoussolventsandotherconstituentsthatareroutinelyseeninhazardouswastesamples.1.2Thescopeofthistestmethodmaybeexpandedtoincludeothervolatileandsemivolatileorganicconstituents.1.2.1Hydrocarbonmixturessuchaskeroseneandmineralspirits.1.2.2High-boilingorganics,definedhereascompoundswhichboilaboven-Hexadecane.1.2.3Otherorganicsthattheanalystisabletoidentify,eitherthroughretentiontimedataorgaschromatography/massspectrometric(GC/MS)analysis.1.3Gaschromatographicmethodsarerecommendedforuseonlyby,orunderclosesupervisionof,anexperiencedanalyst.1.4Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
